The Hallway

So, I went back to the local VA for the hallway I couldn’t photograph the last time due to a lack of batteries for my flash. So that one is here. Additionally, I don’t know, it just seems as I walked down the hall, I felt like someone was watching me. *shrug*

In the Weeds

Old, falling down buildings or abandoned buildings somehow are beautiful, in a weird sort of way. And in this economy, there are quite a few of these around. Of course, Sepia filters tend to make them look even older.

Enjoy.

Reflections

Near my job is a business park with a bell tower and walking paths around several man-made lakes.  Here is a quick shot of the tower reflected in said lake.

Enjoy

At the VA

One of the worst things about taking photos in Florida has to be the heat.  It’s somewhat uncomfortable to be out trying to take a decent picture when you’re so hot and sweating.  But, braving the elements….. ok, desperate for something again (I really need better planning!), I stopped at the local VA.  The classic, Spanish style buildings are quite the sight.  It also helps they are very close to the inter-coastal waterway, where several boats are moored.  So, what to post for the photo of the day: The boats/water or the buildings?  Well, I wasn’t as happy with some of the water shots tonight. I guess it has to do with the light as the sun was still fairly high in the sky.  So, as I drove around the complex, I saw an interesting corner of one of the buildings. Yes. A corner. So, pulling into an area reserved for police or deliveries, I took a few shots from the seat of my car.  Oh, there are other shots of the complex I had taken. Unfortunately, because I was not using my slave flash, several of the shots were much to dark to be used. Bad for me. Possibly good for you as I should be able to return and get those photos on another day. So today, here are the corner shots. Enjoy.

China City

Tonight is the first of what I hope will be several dusk/night time shots. Actually, 2 shots again.  Part of St. Petersburg is a very old neighborhood with very interesting buildings.  Luckily, my computer cooperated so I could bring these to you! Enjoy!
