Remember the sacrifice

For this Memorial Day, I am again pulling a few photos out of the archives, simply because I don’t think I could obtain shots like these again, and also for their relevance to this somber day.  While you enjoy the beach, the hot dogs or burgers, the time with the family and the time off from work, please remember why we have the freedoms we have in this country. Take a moment of silent prayer to thank those that have given the ultimate sacrifice for all of us. And if you happen to see one of the brave volunteers serving in our military, please thank them for all they do for us.

And finally, a photo with a poem written by my grandfather while stationed overseas during World War II.
